An assessment before you commit
A pre-purchase inspection focuses on the vehicle you are considering, including its mechanical, electronic and body condition. Tell us the make, model, year, kilometres and any concerns from the listing or your viewing. Share available service records so they can be considered alongside the vehicle’s condition.
Arrange access with the seller
Ask the seller for permission to have the vehicle inspected and confirm its location. Provide the suburb, access arrangements and a suitable appointment time. The inspection scope depends on the vehicle and the checks possible at that location; discuss those details before booking.
Understand the findings
The purpose is to identify visible or assessable concerns and explain what may need attention. Ask about the scope and how the findings will be provided when you arrange your booking. An inspection is a snapshot of condition at the time, not a guarantee that a used vehicle will never develop a fault.
Buying a European or prestige model?
Gall’s European and exotic experience is useful when you need to discuss a particular model, its service history and maintenance requirements. The same care applies to ordinary used cars. Send the exact model rather than only the manufacturer name so we can confirm suitability and quote for the inspection.
Before you book
Can you visit the seller?
Mobile inspections can be arranged at a suitable Gold Coast location with the seller’s permission. Confirm access and appointment details with both parties.
Is this a roadworthy certificate?
A pre-purchase inspection assesses condition to help a buyer. Do not book it expecting a Queensland safety certificate; ask separately about any certification requirement.
